But this time something I was not expecting at all like a haunted city, a terrifying curse and people turning into walking dead creatures every night. That combination immediately made this feel like a different kind of Chhota Bheem movie.
What also made it interesting is how Bheem and Lord Krishna work together here. It is not just about fighting a powerful enemy this time. They are actually trying to solve a mystery, uncover the truth behind a curse and save an entire city that has been suffering for a long time. That is a much more layered setup than most Bheem movies attempt.

What Actually Happens in the Movie?
The movie opens in the city of Pataliputra and it is immediately clear that something is very wrong here. This is not the great prosperous city people remember from history. The buildings are crumbling, the trees are dead and everyone who is still living there walks around with fear in their eyes. Nobody wants to talk about what is happening.
Then night comes and the real horror is revealed. The people of Pataliputra transform into mindless dead-like beings and start wandering through the city under the influence of some powerful dark curse. It is genuinely unsettling to watch and sets the tone of the movie perfectly from the very beginning.
Lord Krishna realizes that something powerful and evil is behind all of this. He travels to Dholakpur and asks Bheem for help. Bheem agrees immediately without any hesitation. Chutki, Raju and Jaggu also decide to join the mission. And as expected Kalia, Dholu and Bholu secretly follow the group because they do not want to miss out on the adventure.
The next morning the whole team sets out toward the cursed city of Pataliputra.
When they arrive in Pataliputra the situation is even worse than they expected. The city feels completely abandoned during the day. The few remaining residents are living in a state of constant fear and most of them refuse to speak openly about what is going on.
When night falls again the group witnesses the horrifying transformation of the citizens firsthand. Everyone is shocked. This is clearly not something that can be solved by just punching the villain hard enough.
So Bheem and Krishna start investigating properly. They talk to the remaining villagers, gather information and slowly start putting together the truth. What they discover is that the curse is connected to a wicked soothsayer who has quietly taken control of the entire city. He has been using dark magic and deception to manipulate the royal siblings of Pataliputra and through them he controls everything.
When Krishna and Bheem try to confront him directly he simply refuses to cooperate and throws more obstacles in their way. So they keep digging and eventually uncover something important. The curse cannot be broken through strength alone. There is a specific ancient ritual that has to be performed on a full moon night. That is the only permanent solution.
But obviously the soothsayer is not going to let that happen without a fight. He uses dark magic, magical traps and every supernatural trick available to stop them from reaching the ritual. This creates several exciting sequences in the middle portion of the movie as Bheem and his friends keep trying to stay one step ahead of the villain.
What I personally liked about this section is that the movie takes its time with the mystery. It does not reveal everything immediately. It slowly uncovers the history of the curse and the suffering of the people of Pataliputra and that slow reveal keeps you genuinely engaged throughout.
The final part revolves around the full moon ritual. The soothsayer launches everything he has to stop it. Dark magic, traps and supernatural creatures all stand between the heroes and the completion of the ritual.
This is where the whole group comes together properly. Krishna provides divine wisdom and guidance while Bheem uses his strength and courage to protect everyone and keep pushing forward. Their combination works really well in this climax because the problem requires both physical bravery and spiritual knowledge to solve.
After getting past the soothsayer’s final defenses the ritual is completed successfully. The curse that has been haunting Pataliputra is finally broken. The citizens return to normal, the darkness lifts and peace comes back to the city.
Bheem, Krishna and their friends celebrate before heading back home and honestly the ending feels genuinely satisfying because of how much the city and its people suffered before being saved.
What I Felt While Watching this Movie?
The atmosphere is without any doubt the best thing about this movie. Most Chhota Bheem movies are bright and colorful and action focused. This one feels genuinely dark and mysterious from the very first scene. The haunted city setting, the nighttime transformations and the overall mood of dread make it stand out immediately from anything else in the Chhota Bheem franchise.
The mystery element also works really well. For a large portion of the movie you genuinely want to know what happened to Pataliputra and how the curse can be broken. That curiosity keeps you engaged in a way that pure action movies in this franchise sometimes do not.
The Bheem and Krishna partnership is handled nicely here too. Bheem handles the physical side and Krishna handles the wisdom and spiritual side. They complement each other well and the movie makes good use of both characters instead of just focusing on one.
My only real complaint is the runtime. At 66 minutes the movie feels a little short for everything it is trying to do. The soothsayer as a villain is interesting but does not get enough screen time to feel fully developed. The history of Pataliputra also deserved more exploration. A slightly longer runtime would have made a noticeable difference here.
But these are minor issues in the bigger picture. The unique atmosphere alone makes this movie worth watching.
