So I just finished watching Little Singham Desh Ka Sipaahi movie. I have to say this movie feels much bigger than a regular Little Singham adventure. Most of the time the show is about protecting Mirchi Nagar from local criminals and villains. That setup works well for regular episodes. But this movie takes things to a completely different level. Little Singham is not protecting his city here. He is on a national mission involving stolen missiles, undercover operations and a race against time to stop a massive attack on India’s military installations.

What also makes this one interesting is the undercover angle. Little Singham actually pretends to join the enemy organization to gather information from the inside. That kind of espionage storyline is not something you usually see in a children’s animated movie and it adds real tension to the middle section. Let me walk you through everything properly.

    About the Movie (Details)

Little Singham Desh Ka Sipaahi released on 15 August 2018 as a special Independence Day premiere which is a very fitting release date for a movie with this kind of patriotic theme. The movie was produced by Rohit Shetty and Shibasish Sarkar and directed by Vikram Veturi. The story and script were developed by Bahaish Kapoor and Sonam Shekhawat. Created by Reliance Animation and Rohit Shetty Picturez. The total runtime varies slightly depending on the broadcast version but generally runs between 68 and 90 minutes.

The movie originally premiered on Discovery Kids India and was later broadcast on POGO TV as well. It is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and English languages.

    Ratings of the Movie

Now about the IMDb rating. It is sitting at 2.8 out of 10 which is the same low score as the first Little Singham movie I reviewed on this blog. And just like I said in that review this rating does not reflect how the actual target audience feels about the movie. The low score comes mostly from older viewers who are not the intended audience. For kids who enjoy Little Singham and patriotic action stories this movie delivers exactly what it promises. Do not let that number stop you from watching it. What Actually Happens in the Movie?

The movie opens with a serious national security crisis. Intelligence agencies discover that dangerous criminal organizations led by the notorious King Cobra have stolen highly destructive missiles and rocket bombs. His plan is straightforward and terrifying. He wants to launch a coordinated attack on India’s major military installations and defense facilities causing widespread destruction across the country.

The Indian military begins preparing a counter operation but Major Krishnan and his team quickly realize that conventional methods may not be enough to stop an organization this well organized and well equipped. That is when Little Singham gets the call.

Despite being the youngest hero involved in the mission Little Singham accepts without any hesitation. He knows this is much bigger than anything he has dealt with in Mirchi Nagar and he treats it that way from the very beginning.

Before Little Singham can go anywhere near the mission he has to prepare himself properly. He is sent to the freezing heights of Gagan Mountain for specialized military training. The same training that normally takes soldiers ten weeks to complete has to be finished in just twenty four hours. The mountain environment itself is brutal. Blinding snowstorms, freezing temperatures, extremely difficult terrain and physically exhausting combat exercises all have to be pushed through one after another without much rest.

Dr. Avishkar also equips him with specialized gadgets that will help during the operation which adds a fun tech element to the preparation phase.

After completing the training Little Singham gets information about King Cobra’s secret fortress hidden deep within remote border regions. The base is heavily protected with missile launch facilities, command centers and advanced security systems. A direct frontal attack would be impossible. So Little Singham does something unexpected.

He goes undercover. He creates a fake criminal identity and infiltrates King Cobra’s organization from the inside pretending to have switched sides. This is honestly one of the most interesting decisions the movie makes because for a while even the viewer is not entirely sure what is happening. You know Little Singham would never actually betray the country but the way it is presented creates genuine suspense about whether his cover will hold.

From inside the organization Little Singham has to gather intelligence, sabotage plans quietly and avoid doing anything that would expose his true identity. One wrong move and everything falls apart. This section creates some of the tensest moments in the whole movie. At the same time he is also navigating dangerous minefields, avoiding advanced traps and dealing with waves of heavily armed Cobra soldiers without being able to reveal what he is actually doing there.

The situation reaches a breaking point when King Cobra finally figures out the truth. The moment he realizes Little Singham has been deceiving him from the start he orders his men to eliminate him immediately. At the same time the missile launch sequence begins and the countdown timer starts moving toward zero.

Everything now happens at once. Little Singham has to fight his way through King Cobra’s elite guards while explosions are going off throughout the fortress and the countdown keeps ticking. Every second matters.

He eventually reaches the main control hangar where King Cobra is personally overseeing the launch. A fierce hand to hand fight follows. King Cobra has an advanced armored suit and all kinds of technological advantages. Little Singham has his training, his agility and his determination. After an intense battle Little Singham shatters King Cobra’s armor and delivers a powerful Panja Attack that sends him crashing to the ground completely defeated.

But the mission is not finished yet. Singham immediately sprints to the primary missile control system and destroys the rocket override console before the countdown hits zero. The launch sequence is permanently disabled. The threat is neutralized. Indian military forces arrive to secure the fortress and arrest the remaining criminals. India is saved.

What I Felt While Watching this Movie?

The patriotic atmosphere of this movie is genuinely well done. From the very beginning the story emphasizes courage, duty, discipline and love for the country without ever feeling preachy or forced about it. That balance is harder to get right than it sounds and the movie handles it well.

The mountain training sequence is one of my favorite parts. Similar to Mission Jai Hind which I reviewed earlier on this blog the training gives Little Singham a genuine challenge that he has to work through rather than just showing up and fighting. It makes the eventual victory feel earned.

The undercover operation is the strongest story element here and what genuinely separates this movie from other Little Singham specials. Watching him pretend to be on the wrong side while secretly working against King Cobra from the inside adds a layer of tension that regular action sequences alone cannot create. There are moments where you are genuinely wondering how long his cover can hold.

The missile countdown climax also works well. The ticking clock scenario keeps the pressure high during the final battle and makes the stakes feel real rather than just theoretical.

My honest criticism is that if you have already watched several Little Singham specials involving King Cobra and national security threats some elements here will feel familiar. The Gagan Mountain training, the King Cobra villain setup and the missile threat concept all appeared in Mission Jai Hind as well. The undercover angle is what makes Desh Ka Sipaahi feel distinct but beyond that the two movies share quite a bit of common ground.

That is not necessarily a bad thing. Both movies are entertaining. But if you are watching them back to back you will notice the similarities.

    Should You Watch this Movie?

Yes if you enjoy Little Singham and patriotic action stories then this movie is worth watching. The undercover mission angle in particular makes it feel different from a regular episode and the missile countdown climax delivers proper tension.

For kids it is an exciting and inspiring watch. The action sequences are good, the gadgets are fun and the message about courage and duty comes through clearly without being heavy handed. For older viewers the espionage style infiltration gives it slightly more sophistication than a standard cartoon action movie.

If you have already watched Mission Jai Hind I would say watch this one too but be aware that the two movies cover similar ground. Desh Ka Sipaahi has the better undercover storyline while Mission Jai Hind has the better training sequence overall. Both are worth your time as part of the Little Singham franchise.

    Where to Watch this Movie?

Movie is available on Amazon Prime Video, Discovery Plus, JioHotstar and Apple TV depending on availability in your region. The movie originally premiered on Discovery Kids India and was later broadcast on POGO TV as well. Available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and English many languages.

    Final Thoughts

Little Singham Desh Ka Sipaahi is a well made patriotic action movie that successfully takes Little Singham beyond Mirchi Nagar and places him in a genuine national security mission. The military training, the undercover infiltration, the missile countdown and the final battle with King Cobra all come together to create an entertaining and exciting adventure. Some elements feel familiar if you have watched Mission Jai Hind but the undercover storyline gives this movie its own identity and makes it worth watching on its own terms.

Do not let the IMDb rating put you off. This one is made for a specific audience and for that audience it delivers exactly what it promises. That is all for today. Drop any movie requests in the comments and I will get to them. Thanks for reading.

    “Keep watching, keep exploring!”
