So recently I sat down and watched Pakdam Pakdai Doggy Don vs Billiman movie and the first thing I want to say is that this movie caught my attention for one very specific reason. If you have watched Pakdam Pakdai before then you already know the whole show runs on one simple idea. Doggy Don tries to catch the Chuha Party, the Chuha Party escapes in some funny way, and the cycle repeats. That is the formula and it works perfectly for short episodes.
But a 100 minute movie following that same formula would become very boring very quickly. So what did the creators do? They introduced a villain so dangerous that Doggy Don and the Chuha Party have no choice but to stop fighting each other and actually work together. That single change is what made me genuinely curious about this one. Let me walk you through everything.
About the Movie
Pakdam Pakdai Doggy Don vs Billiman released on 21 December 2014 and originally premiered on Nickelodeon India. It also airs on Sonic Nickelodeon through television broadcasts. The movie was produced by Suriya Thomas with executive production support from Toonz Media Group and Nickelodeon India. It was directed by Prakasan U.K. and written by Nikhil Vyas and Venkatraman Subramaniam. The film was created by Toonz Media Group and runs for approximately 100 minutes (1 hour 40 Minutes) which makes it one of the longer animated television movies based on an Indian cartoon franchise.
Now the voice cast is something worth talking about separately because it is genuinely one of the most interesting things about this franchise. In the Hindi version most of the major characters are voiced by Sourav Chakraborty who uses impressions inspired by famous Bollywood actors. Doggy Don sounds like Shah Rukh Khan, Colonel sounds like Sunny Deol, Chhotu carries shades of Paresh Rawal and several other characters follow a similar style. This dubbing approach became one of the most memorable things about Pakdam Pakdai and honestly it still holds up well today. A lot of people remember this show specifically because of these voices.
About the Ratings of the Movie
Regarding ratings there is honestly not much available. No IMDb score, no Rotten Tomatoes rating, no Amazon Prime Video or Netflix scores are currently listed for this movie. Similar to some other older Indian animated movies it simply never got enough formal ratings submissions online to generate any verified scores. But the fan following for Pakdam Pakdai has always been strong so the absence of ratings does not reflect the actual audience response to this franchise.
What Actually Happens in the Movie?
The movie opens in the most Pakdam Pakdai way possible. Doggy Don and his muscular older brother Colonel are once again completely frustrated by the Chuha Party Chhotu, Motu and Lambu. Every single plan the dogs come up with gets destroyed by the mice. The mice always outsmart them, the chaos keeps repeating and nothing ever changes.
Fed up with this never ending cycle Doggy Don and Colonel start looking for something different. Their search takes them on an unexpected journey to the future where they come across a powerful and seemingly heroic cat named Billiman. On first impression Billiman looks like exactly what Doggy Don has been looking for. Strong, intelligent and more than capable of handling the Chuha Party. The dogs immediately think they have finally found the perfect solution to all their problems.
They are very wrong about that.
As the story moves forward Billiman’s real personality starts showing. The helpful superhero image disappears quickly. Billiman is actually an arrogant and power hungry villain who has his own plans for the future. He does not want to help anyone. He wants to dominate the entire city and force everyone into submission under his control.
Using advanced futuristic technology and a massive army of robots Billiman starts taking over the town. His influence spreads fast and both the dogs and mice suddenly realize they are facing something much bigger and much more dangerous than their usual rivalry with each other.
And this is where the movie becomes genuinely interesting. For possibly the first time in the franchise Doggy Don and the Chuha Party have to actually put their differences aside. Doggy Don, Colonel, Chhotu, Motu, Lambu and even their grumpy neighbour Ballu all end up on the same side. Watching characters who normally spend every single episode trying to defeat each other suddenly cooperating creates some really funny and entertaining moments. The writers use this situation well and it never feels forced.
As Billiman’s robot army keeps growing stronger the heroes launch multiple attempts to stop him. The battles get bigger and more chaotic with each attempt and the movie keeps adding new layers to the conflict.
The final part of the movie is all about the combined effort of the dogs, mice and everyone else coming together for one last push against Billiman. Despite all his advanced technology and his massive robotic army Billiman makes one very big mistake. He completely underestimates what a group of motivated enemies turned allies can do when they work together properly.
Through clever planning, chaotic Pakdam Pakdai style comedy and proper teamwork the heroes slowly take apart Billiman’s robotic forces one by one. Eventually his entire plan collapses. The villain is defeated, his control over the city is broken and peace is restored.
To make sure he cannot come back and cause trouble again Billiman is banished far into the past. And once the bigger threat is gone the dogs and mice naturally drift back to their usual rivalry which brings the whole story full circle in a satisfying way.
What I Felt While Watching this Movie?
The thing I appreciated most about this movie is that the creators actually understood the main risk of making a 100 minute Pakdam Pakdai film. The regular chase formula would have become repetitive and boring at that length. So they changed things up with Billiman and that decision alone makes the movie work.
The forced alliance between the dogs and mice is genuinely the best part of the whole film. It is funny, it is unexpected and it gives the characters a chance to interact in ways we never normally see in the show. Some of the best comedy in the movie comes directly from these moments where former enemies have to cooperate and keep getting on each other’s nerves even while trying to work together.
The futuristic setting also helps. The robot army, the advanced technology and the future world elements give the movie a bigger visual scale than regular episodes and make it feel like a proper cinematic adventure rather than just an extended episode.
Sourav Chakraborty’s Bollywood inspired voice performances continue to be one of the strongest parts of this franchise. Even after all these years those voices are immediately recognizable and they bring a lot of character to every scene.
My honest criticism is that at 100 minutes the movie does feel a little stretched in places. There are some sections in the middle where the energy drops before picking back up. A slightly tighter edit would have helped the pacing. I also felt Billiman himself could have been developed more as a character. He is an interesting villain concept but the movie focuses more on the action and comedy than on making him feel truly threatening beyond his robot army.
But for the target audience these are small issues. The movie is consistently entertaining and never actually becomes boring.
Should You Watch this Movie?
If you are a Pakdam Pakdai fan then yes definitely watch it. This is the most ambitious story the franchise has attempted and the dog and mouse alliance alone makes it worth your time. It offers something genuinely different from what you see in regular episodes and that freshness carries the movie well.
For kids it is a very entertaining watch with good comedy, fun robot battles and a fast moving adventure. For older viewers who grew up with Pakdam Pakdai it is a nice revisit and the Bollywood voice impressions will immediately bring back memories.

Final Thoughts
Pakdam Pakdai Doggy Don vs Billiman works because it was willing to break away from the formula that defines the show. The futuristic villain, the robot army and most importantly the unlikely alliance between dogs and mice all come together to make this feel like a proper adventure rather than just a stretched episode. It has some pacing issues and Billiman deserved more development but overall it delivers exactly what a Pakdam Pakdai movie should deliver good laughs, good chaos and a story that is bigger than anything in the regular show.
